Maegar Varn is the leader of the expedition sent to the Nomen Heights to make contact with the Nomen centaurs that are known to inhabit the area. Maegar Varn is a distant cousin of the leader of House Varn, a relatively minor house in Brevoy and has mostly earned a living as a mercenary. However, as the fourth son of his father, Maegar knew early on that he would be unlikely to ever inherit his father’s lands and when the chance to set out into the Stolen Lands presented itself, he readily accepted the charter. Prior to leaving, Maegar approached the party and proposed that they share knowledge and aid each other as the need may arise.
